Whole Wheat Pizza Crust
1 pkg. active dry yeast (or 1 Tablespoon yeast) 1 cup warm water (105 to 115 degrees) 2 1/2 cups whole wheat flour | 2 Tablespoons olive oil 1/2 teaspoon honey 1 teaspoon real salt |
(This makes enough dough for about 2 medium pizzas.) Dissolve yeast in warm water in 2 1/2 quart bowl. Stir in remaining ingredients; beat vigorously 20 strokes. (I just use my kitchen aid to mix it for a couple minutes.) Let it rise for about 20-30 minutes, punch down, divide, and roll out to desired size. Top with desired sauce and toppings and bake at 425 degrees for 15-20 minutes. HINT: I use large round stoneware pans and spray with cooking spray and sprinkle corn meal over them for a nice crispy crust. |
